2023 Gibson Les Paul Special TV Yellow

A model that faithfully reproduces the design of the guitars that raced through the vibrant music scene of the 1950s.

The TV Yellow finish, achieved with nitrocellulose lacquer, was developed to look beautiful on television broadcasts in the 1950s. Its subtle yet deep appearance exudes an even greater vintage feel in the modern era. The plain design, devoid of binding, embodies a no-nonsense, robust attitude that prioritizes essence over ornamentation.

The body and neck are made of high-quality mahogany, faithfully following the specifications of the 1950s. The thick, warm mid-low frequency response is reminiscent of the sound that supported rock and roll and blues of that time.

The robust joint of the set-neck construction allows the strings to resonate throughout the entire body without any loss of sound.

The pickups are two P-90s. The thick drive tone, with the sharpness and moderate output characteristic of single-coil pickups, is exactly the sound you hear on classic albums of yesteryear. The delicate response when rolling off the volume and tone also perfectly reproduces the temperament and charm of the Les Paul that players of that era loved.
