Absolutely stunning copy of the narrow-band pressing of the legendary recording of Schubert’s Trout Quintet played by Clifford Curzon with members of the Vienna Octet, on London stereo CS-6090. A classic audiophile masterpiece recording, considered by many to be among the greatest recordings ever made. And this copy is a truly glorious illustration of why that is. Really an incredibly clean disc that plays absolutely perfectly without the slightest flaw. There is one superficial mark but it does not affect the play at all. Really a top disc. The cover has light ringwear and some slight discoloration on the back, but no seam splits and very nicely intact. A lovely early copg that sounds just breathtaking.
