This is for an antique octangular toothpick box hand carved from pale buffalo horn and dating from the early 1800s. It has nice inset pique work with gold stars and central cartouche inset into the lid and a gold hinge and catch at the front. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, no warping at all just one small chip on the very edge as shown. It measures 73mm (3") by 23mm nearly 1" by 10mm (0.3") deep.
