This plaster cast was handmade in Wiltshire, England, by the Nicholas H Wood studio. Finished using traditional pigments and classic techniques, it has an antique-style look that highlights the details beautifully. This piece is a studio “second,” so it may have small imperfections from the making process. These light marks or variations add character and make each cast unique in its own way. It’s a charming, one-of-a-kind piece with plenty of personality.

Please be aware that these casts may vary slightly in their markings and patterns from the antiquing process.

Plaster cast right foot detail from the statue 'Hermes and Infant Dionysus' by Praxiteles. This sculpture is a perfect reference cast for artists to draw and paint from, and to add a classical aesthetic to your home, art studio or commercial space.

Hermes and the Infant Dionysus, also known as the Hermes of Praxiteles, or the Hermes of Olympia, is an ancient Greek sculpture discovered in 1877 in the ruins of the Temple of Hera, Olympia, in Greece. It is displayed at the Archaeological Museum of Olympia.
