Condition: The instrument is in very good condition. Base shows a bit of wear ( see last close up photos). The brass instrument screws into the wood base & is removable. There is a manufacture defect - the pre-drilled holes do not quite line up with the screws.  So one screw does not lower evenly. However, the instrument does secure solidly to the base.
