This listing is for an unusual sterling silver and cream bakelite Lamkin houpette powder brush
The hallmarked engine turned silver holder was made in Birmingham by Joseph Gloster Ltd in 1938
The brush is made of pale lilac lambswool
This is a scarce and unusual item which is in very good condition
TO USE: Remove top, pull chain, take puff out of case, drop chain back into case via the top and pull puff back into position
After use, pull the chain to pop the puff back
The silver hallmarks are slightly rubbed
There is also a patent no. 32584 next to the hallmark
