Detailed Description & Condition

Original Ottoman Turkish / Arabic-script map of South America titled “Amerika-yı Cenubî,” meaning South America.

This is a small colored geographical map, most likely removed from an Ottoman Turkish school geography book, atlas, or educational publication. The map shows South America with Ottoman Turkish place names and country labels, including Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Bolivia, Paraguay, Uruguay, Colombia, Venezuela and surrounding regions. There is also a small inset map at the lower left, likely showing the Panama region.

The map is printed in color with Ottoman Turkish script throughout, making it an interesting collectible for buyers of Ottoman ephemera, antique maps, historical geography, Turkish educational material, South America maps, and Arabic-script printed material.
