Please notice this is a TIED quilt; it consists of the patchwork top tied to the backing with yellow cotton thread, with just a thin cotton layer inside; that "layer" is not a bedsheet and is not fluffy cotton either, it is something in between, like a thicker cotton that might have been used as batting material in the past.

The quilt was laundered here: it is clean and odorless.

It was well used and washed many times by former owners, but the feed sacks are still in good condition.

There is an area with busted seams in the center of the quilt, see pics # 6 (from a distance) and # 7 at closer range. Busted seams similar to that one, but smaller, are several in the quilt: we counted 7.

We found no rips. We found no stains in the business side. There are at least 10 small brown spots in the backing that didn't go away with the wash.

Some yellow ties are missing (we didn't count how many, they are not many).

The binding is in good shape.

The quilt measures 80" by 72" across and weighs 4 lbs. in spite of having that type of thin batting.

The bed is a queen, 80" by 60".

The piecing of the top was done by hand.

The printed fabrics are feed sacks.

At first sight, light inspection, we found no repeats among them: each feed sack was used for  just one blocks, which is not infrequent in old pieces like this. If an additional inspection reveals repeats, we will post it here.

We combine shipping.
