Vintage Falco Paris Dual-Scale Pocket Watch Voltmeter – Circa 1920s / 1930s – Boxed & Complete

A wonderful piece of early 20th-century French electrical engineering and radio history.

This pocket-fob style DC voltmeter was manufactured by Falco Paris and was originally designed for testing the L.T. and H.T. battery setups of early valve radio systems.

DESIGN & FEATURES:

Distinctive Art Deco Dial: Features a clean, silver-toned dial face with a highly striking orange-red and white "Falco Paris" logo arch across the bottom.

Dual Scale Display: Split between a 0–6V low-tension scale (R:115 ohms) and a 0–120V high-tension scale (R:2300 ohms).

Classic Fob Construction: Housed in a heavily polished nickel-plated or chromed circular case with a top watch loop ring. Features a sharp base probe spike and the original fabric-braided dual cord ending in red and black pin plugs.

Original Presentation Box: Includes its rare, surviving canvas/cloth-covered cardboard protective storage box.

CONDITION REPORT:

Cosmetics: The meter is in very nice vintage aesthetic condition. The metal casing shows beautiful, light age-appropriate surface patina and superficial cleaning marks, but no deep pitting or rust. The glass crystal face is clear and securely fitted. The dial printing remains vibrant and completely legible.

Wiring & Box: The fabric braid over the wires shows light age wear but remains entirely intact without fraying through to raw metal. The original box is structurally complete but does show expected structural shelf wear, scuffing, and minor fraying along the cardboard seams consistent with its age.

Functionality: Sold as an untried/untested collector’s piece. The needle sits neatly resting at zero.

An excellent addition for collectors of early telegraphy, vintage wireless radio equipment, or antique scientific instruments.
