A vintage Danish teak wood bird bottle opener often attributed to Hans Bølling or Arne Basse.
Details: It features a carved teak body, a cap on its head, glass bead eyes, and a small painted beak. I think it used to appear as if it is smoking a cigarette, but the cigarette is broken off. (See photos)
Functionality: This decorative figure doubles as functional barware; the head removes to reveal a opener, and the base has a corkscrew.
Origin and Period: These are classic examples of Mid-Century Modern Scandinavian design, originating from Denmark in the 1950s or 1960s.
Condition: Other than the missing cigarette, it is in beautiful vintage condition.
