GUILD 1977 D-35 -Vintage。- (1977) (no260612)

Guild Guitars was once considered one of the three major acoustic guitar brands, alongside Martin and Gibson.
Guitars made at the Westerly factory, which was the longest-running production facility, still enjoy enduring popularity.
This is a 1977 Guild D-35 made at the Westerly factory.
It shows only slight discoloration and has undergone thorough parts replacement and adjustment.

It uses the classic acoustic guitar wood materials: a Sitka spruce top, mahogany sides and back, mahogany neck, and rosewood fingerboard.
The frets, nut, saddle, bridge pins, and tuning pegs have been replaced in the past.
New screw holes have been drilled for the tuning pegs, and the holes above each peg have been filled with wood.

The neck is generally straight, and the truss rod operates smoothly.
The string height at the 12th fret is approximately 2.3mm on the 6th string side and approximately 1.7mm on the 1st string side, boasting excellent playability for a Guild from the 70s.

The powerful sound, characteristic of non-scalloped bracing, is perfect for accompanying vocals.
This particular instrument is very easy to play for a Guild of this era, suggesting it has been well-maintained.
The body top is glossy, but there are weather checkings in places, giving it the character of a vintage instrument.
Compared to the higher-end rosewood models, it is lighter and easier to handle, and features an easy-to-play folk sound.
A tweed-patterned general-purpose hardshell case is included.
