Vintage set of iridescent New Zealand Paua Abalone Shell Salt & Pepper Shakers

The Paua Shells are mounted on silver bases giving it a unique look!  Thy were rarely mounted this way. 

Handcrafted in 1970's -1980's. Typically the Shell Used was the Haloitis Iris.  These are know for swirling pearlescent patterns of blue, green and purple
