Item has been used/played with, displayed then in storage for some time. The item itself is in good vintage condition, it does show signs of age wear and tear such as marks, scrapes, scuffs etc but nothing major I can pinpoint or really see. The box/sleeve shows signs of wear and tear such as marks, scrapes, scratches, creasing, slight tears etc but still holds the game well and displays well. Up for sale is an incredibly rare piece of 1960s Sean Connery-era spy cinema memorabilia: the official licensed "The James Bond Box" tabletop dice game, manufactured in England by Waterman's in 1965. 

A themed variation of the traditional "Shut the Box" pub game, players roll the dice to drop the plastic keys and spell out "JAMES BOND".

Released in 1965 by British manufacturer Waterman's, this game capitalized on the massive global frenzy surrounding the release of Goldfinger (1964) and Thunderball (1965)

The phenomenal lid art depicts a classic, moody 1960s casino scene featuring a Sean Connery-style secret agent playing high-stakes baccarat or roulette in a tuxedo surrounded by glamorous associates

This is a licensed 007 spy adaptation of the classic traditional pub pastime "Shut the Box". Players roll the dice and flip down the corresponding numbers to progressively hide and spell out the name J-A-M-E-S  B-O-N-D

The green felt rolling surface is remarkably clean, showing very little of the typical heavy fading or bald spots.

All 9 lettered red plastic keys are present, unbroken, and click smoothly. Crucially, specify that the original dice are included

Please note: This game was originally manufactured with an open-ended cardboard sleeve design (rather than a traditional lid). The inner plastic tray slides directly into this outer slipcase like a matchbox drawer. The sleeve is solid, original, and intact.
