This beautiful crackle glazed vase has a rich enamel decoration showing warriors fighting and a deity or man in a traditional Japanese fighting mask.
This is one of the best examples of its type, especially as it has the raised dragon decorations on the front back and neck.
The base has a rare 'CHINA' in red & brown etched seal mark indicating
Chenghua Nian Zhi.
This vase was made c1900-1915.
A small piece of upper rim has been almost invisibly stuck back into place, as shown.
It's around 29cm tall.
Condition; 1 small repair otherwise mint, as shown.
