A charming and unusual travel narrative written by a young boy about his adventures in the Caribbean. The book includes a foreword by Kennett Harris and 52 illustrations from photographs and sketches by 12-year-old artist Arthur Lindborg — a delightful time capsule of 1920s Caribbean life seen through a child's eyes.

Provenance / Inscription: The front endpaper bears a handwritten gift inscription in pencil: "To Samuel Houlman, from Uncle Harry & Aunt Alice. Merry Christmas to all." — almost certainly gifted at Christmas 1928, the year of publication.

Condition:

— Binding is intact and structurally sound

— Red/magenta cloth boards show age-related fading and water spotting on front and back covers

— Spine cloth is fraying at the head (top edge); minor fraying at foot

— Pages are toned/browned as expected for a ~100-year-old book
