Welcome to my auction for my XC90. I bought this last month described as "smokey, but everything works" which was stretching the truth somewhat...

I don't have any more time or money to put into this, so I'm listing it as a project for someone, or as a running spares vehicle, not as something you could drive for the next 15 years!

Collection only from just outside Ipswich.

The good

MOT until end of Jan 2027.

Starts, runs, drives and stops. Gets up to temperature and doesn't overheat. 

Four good tyres (three Pirelli, one Hankook)

One key.

Fitted towbar.

Rare manual gearbox.

Resonator replaced with good quality MTC silicone hose.

Currently in limp mode with Engine System Service Required message on dash. Resonator was split but fitting the hose did not solve this. Have not investigated further. Currently smokey on boost and smells exhausty. Bit like my patience with it. 

Clunk on full lock - have not looked into this.

Quite tired inside, but so would you be at 197k miles...

Fan belt sounds a bit squeaky on cold, but gets quieter when warm.

No history but I was told it had had a recon turbo and recon DPF in the last two years...I've got no proof of this though. 

And so, on to bidding...

Do not bid if you're expecting a perfect car, if you're going to turn up and haggle, if you're going to blame you mother's brother's uncle's cousin for bidding and ask me to cancel....all bids are final, if you win it, you buy it. Contact me within 24 hours of auction end. Simples. :) 

Sorry for the rant but you know how it is. 

For the genuine buyers - I bought this from just outside Oxford, it went into limp after about 20 minutes and I drove it home to Suffolk in limp, in all it's smokey glory (with a window open!!) - you could probably drive it home, but it depends on your appetite to risk. If you're not sure, bring a trailer. Just bear in mind it needs work.
