This stoneware piece is undecorate and cylindrical in shape, with a round flat base. It has straight rising sides which round at the shoulder with a short neck ending in a flat plain rim. The outside of the jar is gray in color with a brown overglaze. The inside is a dark brown color.  No Lid.

Age and maker are unknown.  It measures about 9" tall x 5.5" across the base.  The opening at the top is about 2.25".  It holds about 12 liquid cups.  It weighs about 3.75 lb before being carefully wrapped and packed to ship.  

This is a very well made and is a very nice Americana piece of stoneware. The piece has nice color and shape. This is in excellent condition - no cracks, repairs, chips, hairlines, or crazing to the glaze.
