These lovely French rye straw coiled baskets were made in the early 20th century to use for proofing bread and often then storage when it was made. 

This nice sized example is still in great condition and a perfect rustic country piece for the home for storage and display. 

Obvious signs of age and gentle wear commensurate with age. 

Measures 36cm diameter to the top and approx 17cm high.
