Description

This is an authentic WWII-era home-use gas mask from wartime Japan.

Made of leather and shows age-related stiffness and dryness. An Imperial Japanese Army marking can be seen inside.

The mask is very small in size, approximately the length of two puttees placed vertically. It appears to be adjustable using the cloth adjustment strap on the back.

This is a rare wartime gas mask and filter canister, retaining its original specifications, with what appears to be an Army Science/Inspection stamp visible.

One filter appears to have been used/opened, while the other seems unused.

The item is marked “Home Use”, and appears to have been manufactured by Fujikura Industrial Co., Ltd.
