Super Bowl XVI is remembered as the beginning of the Joe Montana and Bill Walsh dynasty era, with the 49ers defeating the Bengals 26-21. Montana was named Super Bowl MVP after throwing for 157 yards and a touchdown while adding a rushing touchdown.
