What is this?
A working tabletop counterweight trebuchet kit. Low-run production, not mass-market — a designer build kit.
The mechanism has three independent variables:
- TRAJECTORY — adjustable via the release point on the arm
- POWER — add or remove 5-gram iron weights in the counterweight basket (up to 350g+)
- DIRECTION — fine adjustment via the gear knob on the base
A built-in winch with clip pulls the throwing arm back; the lever releases the load.
What's in the kit
- Laser-cut birch plywood frame parts (sealed in original bags)
- 3D-printed components: counterweight basket, frame reinforcements, release mechanism
- Steel: bearings, screws, springs, eyelets, Allen key
- Bag of wooden balls in various sizes (projectiles)
- Bag of wooden tower blocks (colour may vary — not necessarily red)
- Tower base plate and base for the wooden balls
- 350g+ of 5-gram iron weights (for the counterweight)
- Wooden clip for the line
- Printed assembly instructions and user manual (English)
You'll need from your own toolbox: hammer, glue, scissors, small crosshead screwdriver.
