OVERVIEW

The TBC Arctic Claw Winter WXI is a highway terrain, winter tire manufactured for SUVs and light trucks. This model also has some touring, passenger vehicle sizes.

The model promotes excellent winter weather traction. The tire combines the durable winter compound and the detailed asymmetric tread design to enhance the ice and snow grip on the road surface. The high-density zigzag siping pattern increases the number of biting edges gripping the road surface, while the compound keeps the tire pliable in freezing temperatures by maintaining the ideal rubber flexibility. Furthermore, the tire is pinned for studs, which can be added for additional ice and snow grip. The tread features an optimized groove placement. The angled lateral grooves eliminate water and slush from below the footprint and prevent hydroplaning in the process. This combination ensures the tire's excellent performing capability.

The tire improves its controllability with the ideal tread design. The asymmetric tread's flat footprint closely follows the road surface and maintains the road contact, which boosts the steering responsiveness and the driving stability. In this manner, the steering becomes faster and more precise, while the structure is secured against the driving pressure affecting the model. The tread design's high-density zigzag siping detail increases the braking power. These sipes create friction between the tire and the road surface to significantly shorten the braking distance at the moment of braking, even on ice- and snow-covered road surfaces. This combination ensures the driver's full control over the vehicle throughout its performance.

The tread design ensures a comfortable driving experience. The flat footprint enables the tire to closely follow the road surface during the drive, which enables the tire to absorb the shock of driving. The Arctic Claw Winter WXI offers a stronger structure with SUV and light truck sizes. These sizes feature a reinforced steel belt construction which maintains the ideal tire shape under the load and driving pressure affecting the model. As the tire does not deform under the pressure affecting it, it is capable of carrying and withstanding heavier loads in various winter conditions. This results in the tire's higher load capacity.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
