This "Old-School" industrial looking pen case made of hard-fiber board is designed and manufactured by "MIDORI" under OEM for TRUSCO.
MIDORI, is a stationery company mainly manufacturing paper products such as notebook, letter writing set etc. in Japan since 1950.
Recently, they are expanding their products range with very sophisticated design under DESIGNPHIL brand, whose products have been receiving various design awards in Japan. 

The material is made of PASCO, which is a patented hard-fiber board with light weight, durability, and water repellency.
PASCO is made by "HOKUETSU PULP", who has been manufacturing papers since 1907.
They are the 5th largest paper milling company in Japan yet has been known for their innovative technologies throughout their history.
It develops a unique patina and texture with continued use, making it a material that can be cherished for a long time.

Because of its design by function and utility, it has received "Japan Good Desing Award".
