Description

Inspired by the unforgettable creature from the classic Doctor Who story Warriors of the Deep, this detailed Myrka model captures all the strange charm and nostalgic character of one of the most talked-about monsters from the show’s 1980s era. The Myrka was a genetically modified reptilian war beast created by the Silurians, a huge dinosaur-like creature capable of delivering deadly electric shocks in battle.

While the recent Blu-ray Special Edition of Warriors of the Deep introduced a completely redesigned Myrka using modern sculpting and CGI effects, this model stays faithful to the original television version seen in the 1984 broadcast. Rather than trying to modernise the creature, this sculpt celebrates the wonderfully theatrical and slightly awkward “pantomime horse” appearance that has made the original Myrka such a memorable part of classic Doctor Who history.

Care has been taken to preserve the exaggerated proportions, unusual movement style, and quirky personality of the original screen-used design. For many fans, the original Myrka represents everything charming about vintage BBC science fiction — ambitious creature effects, practical costumes, and imaginative monster design created long before digital effects became standard.

This highly detailed resin 3D print is supplied as a static display model with no moving parts. The resin printing process allows for crisp surface detail and accurate textures, making it ideal for painting and display alongside other classic Doctor Who monsters and figures. Whether you love the original creature effects, collect obscure monsters from the series, or simply appreciate unusual sci-fi designs, this Myrka model makes a unique addition to any collection.

Perfect for fans of classic Doctor Who, retro BBC effects, Silurian lore, and the wonderfully eccentric monsters of 1980s television sci-fi.

These models are NOT SOLD AS TOYS. Due to the production method, they should not be given to children without adult supervision.

A product safety and aftercare document will be included with your purchase.

Production and shipping.

All our models are printed to order. Printing is usually completed within a few days, but bulk orders and large models may take longer to print. During busy periods, it can take up to 10 days to dispatch orders, though this is uncommon.

Models are printed and shipped from the UK.

We 3D print our models with a high-quality resin that precisely replicates fine details. The resin is “ABS-like,” which means it is less fragile and has a little flex.

Once printed, models are cleaned and have supports removed. A small amount of support material may remain, but this can be removed with a craft knife or clippers. Models are usually printed hollow.

Combined postage – often eBay will automatically combine postage. However, if this does not happen, send us a message and we will happily refund the extra.
