For sale, 11 piece laminated guitar neck blank. The blank is made up of hard maple, quilted sapele and black dyed veneer. The center strip of quilted sapele is 0.67" flanked on both sides by 0.035" black veneer, 0.07" hard maple, 0.035" black veneer, 0.20 quilted sapele and finished off with 1.20" of hard maple. The overall dimensions are 30.5 X 3.77 X 1". We use a modified urea resin glue, it is expensive and difficult to use. But it dries completely rigid and works great with oily exotic and domestic woods. We have been using it for over a decade with great results.
We will include 2 extra pieces of hard maple ( 8 x 1 x 1") to extend the headstock width if necessary.
The first two pictures show the blank wet with denatured alcohol to pop the figure, the rest are shown dry. The blank is constructed from dry and well seasoned stock.
