Exceptional First Day Cover bearing the complete Victory/Commonwealth overprint set, cancelled May 1, 1945 — Labor Day and the stamps' first day of issue — just weeks after the liberation of Manila from Japanese occupation, with the Pacific war still ongoing.
Stamps: The full Victory/Commonwealth overprint set with purple oval Manila Post Office First Day Cover cancels, including the 20-peso & 10-peso high values — the complete run from 2c through 20 pesos on a single cover.
Cachets: Pink C.C.D. shield cachet (I.L. Lim, Nagtahan, Manila) plus a printed wartime Labor Day cachet reading: "Calling on All Laborers — Help Your Country — Secure Employment with U.S. Army for Essential War Work." The combination of a complete-set first day cover with an active wartime Army recruitment message on May Day 1945 makes this an unusually layered historical document.

Condition: Overall very good; stamps bright with clear cancels. Dark smudge/stain on reverse upper right as shown.
