OVERVIEW

The Pirelli Cinturato P7 All Season Run Flat (*) is a touring, all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles and SUVs. It is the original equipment tire of select BMW vehicle models.

The tire model has excellent all weather traction. The special siping detail of the tread pattern improves the road gripping ability by firmly gripping the road. The low rolling resistance tire compound features advanced polymers that increase the tire's grip in wet and winter weather. The hydroplaning resistance of the circumferential grooves further improves the all weather driving safety. They channel water away from the tire footprint, which ensures a safer year round driving experience.

The tire is a run flat model. It means that it is capable of supporting the weight of the vehicle and the passengers for 50 miles at up to a speed of 50 mph after the loss of air pressure. These tires are manufactured for vehicles that do not have space for a spare tire. They ensure that the driver will not be stranded on the side of the road, but they will be able to safely arrive at a destination where they can change or repair their tire. Run flat and regular tires cannot be mounted on the same vehicle, as run flat tires are heavier in their construction.

The model offers a fuel efficient driving experience. The Green Performance technology uses variable aspects and enhancements to lower the rolling resistance of the tire. This decreases the vehicle's fuel consumption and CO2 emissions as well, making the tire more environmentally conscious and fuel efficient. The reduced rolling resistance also slows down the tread wear rate. This is combined with the upgraded road contact area's even distribution of the driving pressure. Together the slower tread wear rate and the evenly wearing tread area offer an extended tread life and usability.

The tread's special profile and the compound used in its manufactured maintain constant road contact. This lowers the road noise heard in the vehicle's cabin. The tread design channels the soundwaves through the tire footprint and, by doing so, they lower the road noise generated while the tires are in motion, providing a quiet and comfortable driving experience.

The Cinturato P7 All Season Run Flat (*)'s internal structure features twin steel belts spirally reinforced with nylon cords to ensure its excellent durability. As the tire does not deform under the driving pressure and it maintains its optimal tire shape, it is capable of performing at high speeds.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
