OVERVIEW

The Firestone Destination X/T is an extreme terrain, all weather tire manufactured for light trucks. Firestone offers a 50,000 mile treadwear warranty with this model.

The tire enhances extreme terrain performance with the optimal tread design. The flat footprint features staggered tread elements and wide grooves which work together to boost the grip on soft, loose and uneven terrain surfaces. This combination ensures the tire's secure off-road performing ability, while also maintaining its on-road grip. The tread's self-cleaning nature avoids stone retention by eliminating rocks from the footprint, which keeps rocks from drilling into the tire and harming the casing. This pattern also keeps the footprint clean of mud and snow, preventing them from cutting off the tire's surface contact by packing between the tread elements. This results in the tire's exceptionally versatile terrain driving safety.

The model also improves its heavy duty durability and controllability. The stronger internal structure does not allow the tire to deform under the driving pressure, enabling the tire to increase its load capacity. As a result, the tire can easily carry and withstand heavy loads with ease throughout its performance. The better durability and the tire's flat footprint improve the surface contact at all times. They upgrade the steering responsiveness and the driving stability significantly. This results in the tire's faster and more precise steering response and the secured structural stability throughout the model's performance.

The ideal tread design helps lengthen the tread life. The close surface contact and the optimal siping pattern ensure even pressure distribution along the tread area. The equally spread out forces of acceleration, cornering and braking avoid irregular wear formations across the tire's surface, which actively extends the tread life. The durable tire compound manages to prevent the tread's chipping, cracking and tearing, allowing the tire to upgrade the length of the model's service life. This combination lengthens the tread life and usability greatly.

The Destination X/T promotes a safer year round drive. The tread's flat footprint features a detailed siping pattern on staggered tread blocks, which increase the grip on the road and terrain surface in various weather conditions. These tread elements enhance the grip in dry, wet and winter weather, upgrading the all weather traction. The optimal groove pattern, on the other hand, helps prevent hydroplaning by dispersing water and slush from below the footprint. This combination ensures a secure all weather performing ability.

Extreme Terrain tire types are not designed for regular highway driving. They are primarily designed for off-road applications.

All weather tires receive the three mountain peak and snowflake (3PMS) symbol for their exceptional winter weather performance. They are all season tires with extra winter weather grip, in order to guarantee safer year-round durability. This ensures their true and secure driving ability throughout the year.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
