Born of Necessity, Built to Last:

For over 30 years we’ve manufactured and installed some of the highest quality kitchen worktops. Yet, time after time, we’d fit a beautiful surface only to keep seeing owners place a cheap throwaway chinese manufactured bamboo chopping board on top of it. We have owned those boards in the past and the story was always the same: a few cooks in, the surface would have deep knife scars, then the raised splinters would start to appear, then the ever more predictable warping and cracking would start. Into the bin each went, and another ordered. Wasteful for the planet, and infuriating for the cook.


So we set our team a challenge: Create a heavy-duty chopping board worthy of our worktops that we could gift every customer who bought a worktop from us. They set off into the workshop and what they produced didn't disappoint…… The Mason & Jackson end-grain teak board: a 3 cm-thick, tight-grained board that’s gentle on knives and made to from teak (One of the worlds hardest woods) to resist warping and cracking. We added four non-slip feet for rock-free prep, a drip groove to keep counters clean, and a routed device groove on the back so your recipe stays visible and your phone stays out of the mess. Pre-seasoned and fully refinishable, it’s designed to look better, for longer.


The feedback from our customers was clear: this is a board that lasts as long as their kitchen worktops. What began as a solution we gifted with our worktops is now available to everyone—premium materials, thoughtful details, and the peace of mind that comes from buying a quality crafted product .
