As your pump will usually be continuously cleaning and filtering the water when it is turned on, this dirt can quickly build up, especially when the hot tub is regularly used.

How often does it need to be replaced?
It depends on the intensity of use. The more often you use the hot tub, the more often you should clean and replace your filter. It is recommended to replace the filter cartridge every 2–3 weeks for optimal performance.
