For sale is this stunning, vintage, fully hand-beaded “silhouette” cocktail dress by Fabrice Simon. It is part of his “Pop Art” collection, made between 1989 and 1994, which featured top models of the day such as Iman, Beverly Johnson, Christy Brinkley and Jerry Hall.  It is deemed “museum worthy” with examples held in the FIDM Museum Collection. 

This striking royal blue dress features elaborate beadwork throughout, including whimsical celestial star motifs, swirling patterns, and multicolor beaded embellishments. The fitted sheath silhouette with plunging back, long sleeves and retro shoulder padding is characteristic of upscale evening wear from the late 80s/early 90s.

This dress was originally purchased in the early 90s at the Mirage Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, for an evening of wonder starring legendary magicians, Siegfried & Roy. It originally retailed for $1,200 and has been worn only three times. Carefully stored in a smoke/pet free home, this dress makes a statement like no other!
