Fine antique French Faience Plate with a revolutionary theme. A man with a shovel is shown carrying a cross and a sword with the title "Je Suis Las de les Porter" ("I am tired of carrying them"). There is also a date of 1791 shown. Early 20th century. There is a hand-painted maker's mark, a conjoined F and C. I don't recognize it.

The deep plate is 9 5/8 inches wide by 1 3/4 inches tall. It weighs 1 lb 6 oz (shipping weight 3 lbs).

Condition: Good overall, with some crazing of the glaze, especially on the reverse. No cracks or chips. Please see the detail photos.
