This very fine oil painting on wood by British artist John Humphreys is called " The Swift Iron Burning Bee Drained The Wild Honey Of Their Youth." This was an inspiration from Vivien Noakes. John Humphreys belonged to the prestigious Brirish ROI, which stands for the Royal Institute of Oil Painters. It is a London based art society and the only British art society dedicated exclusively to work done in oil paint. Founded in 1882, it was granted Royal status by King Edward VII in 1909. Membership is limited to around 65 elected artists who are considered leading painters in the medium.
