Bridget Tichenor, also known as Bridget Bate Tichenor, was a British and Mexican artist known for her work in magic realism and surrealism. She specialized in oil glazes. Born in 1917 in Paris, France, she was influenced by Paul Cadmus. She studied at the Slade School in London and the Art Students League of New York. Tichenor was part of a circle of artists that included Leonora Carrington, Remedios Varo, Alice Rahon, and Kati Horna. She lived in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Mexico. Tichenor passed away in 1990 in Mexico City, Mexico. Her works are exhibited in the Smithsonian American Art Museum, the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Monterrey, and the Museo de la Ciudad de México.
