A striking Art Deco-inspired Lord Elgin reference 4528 dating to 1954, this rectangular dress watch is crafted in 14k yellow gold and features a beautifully architectural stepped case. The off-white dial is accented by vertical texturing, applied Arabic numerals and dart indices, faceted dauphine hands, and a subsidiary seconds register at 6 o’clock with geometric sector styling. The elongated proportions and sharp lines give the piece a distinctly mid-century American elegance.

The case back bears an engraved award from Humble Oil Co. commemorating 30 years of service, dated 1954. Inside, the case back is stamped by Star Watch Case Co., a maker known for supplying cases to many American watch brands of the era. Powered by a caliber 670 manual wind movement and fitted with a brown lizard strap, this is a wonderful vintage dress watch with strong Art Deco character.
