DESCRIPTION

Up for sale is a classic piece of post-war history: the Dinky Toys No. 34c Loudspeaker Van. This iconic model features the dual silver-painted horns on the roof, often used in the 1940s for political campaigning and public announcements.

CONDITION DETAILS:

Body: Original dark blue paint with significant "play-wear" and paint chipping throughout (please see photos). No signs of zinc pest or metal fatigue.

Loudspeaker: The silver roof-mounted speaker unit is intact and firmly attached.

Chassis: Underside is clearly marked "DINKY TOYS", "MADE IN ENGLAND", and "MECCANO LTD".

Wheels/Axles: The smooth black rubber Tyres have hardened slightly due to age. The front axle shows a slight bend, but the wheels still turn.

Box: No original box included.

This is a great "filler" piece for a Dinky collector or a perfect candidate for a professional restoration project.
