The BraunAbility 407609AKS is the current-generation DPA Refresh Hand Pendant Assembly Kit — the factory-authorized replacement for the discontinued 33659KS — for use on Series-2 Dual Parallel Arm (DPA) wheelchair lifts. Redesigned with a new ergonomic housing, single 4-directional control pad, and integrated LED light bar, the 407609AKS delivers the same core lift-operating function as the original 33659KS in a purpose-built modern form. This pendant is for Series-2 lifts only — do not install on Series-1 lifts.

KEY BENEFITS

4-Directional Control Pad — The new single-pad layout replaces the dual rocker switch design of the 33659KS, providing dedicated Up, Down, Left, and Right directional inputs with a center button and silicon button cover for positive tactile operation.

Illuminated LED Light Bar — Built-in LED illumination makes controls easy to identify and use in low-light vehicle interiors — critical for early-morning school bus routes, night-time NEMT dispatch, and poorly lit garage loading areas.

Magnetic Mount — An integrated magnet holds the pendant securely to the lift housing when not in use, rated to hold the full assembly weight with the coiled cord extended up to 4 feet.

UL 817 Strain Relief — The coiled cord's strain relief meets or exceeds UL 817 Section 109.2.1, providing commercial-grade protection against pull-out and wiring failure in high-cycle transit environments.

COMPATIBILITY & APPLICATIONS

This pendant is designed specifically for BraunAbility (Braun Ability) Series-2 Dual Parallel Arm (DPA) wheelchair lifts. Confirmed compatible lift families:

BraunAbility Century-2 Wheelchair Lift (model numbers ending in "-2", e.g., NCL917-2)

BraunAbility Millennium-2 Wheelchair Lift (model numbers ending in "-2")

IMPORTANT — SERIES CHECK: This pendant is NOT compatible with Series-1 lifts (original NL, NCL, or NVL models without a "-2" suffix). The round connector will physically plug into a Series-1 socket but the internal wiring configuration is different. Installing this pendant on a Series-1 lift will result in reversed functions or no lift response. If your lift model does not end in "-2", you need part 33658KS or 33659KS — not this part.
