This original People's Ticket / Democratic Ticket from 1863 measures approximately 4 7/8" x 12".  Charles Devens Jr. of Worcester, Massachusetts is the candidate on the ballot for governor along with various candidates for District Nominations. Lincoln is depicted front and center with General Devens.  On the left is Gen. Halleck and on the right is General McClellan. Quite unusual to see Lincoln and McClellan presidential candidate rivals appear together on the same ticket. There are some condition issues with material loss of the upper left corner and a hole over the "Charles" of Deven's name. There wae also stains from old scotch tape repairs and a name has been written in pencil in the General Court Representative space. There is a photocopy of the upper portion of the ballot which you can see placed underneath the original ballot in the final picture that gives the idea of the ballot without the damage. Despite its shortcomings, this remains a fascinating, scarce and desirable collectible. Thanks for looking at this auction.
