Crane-Pattern Kyofukuro Obi

  • Refined "Soaring Crane" Where Tradition and Modernity Resonate

This piece depicts the crane, a bird traditionally loved as a symbol of good omen, with a clean and contemporary sensibility. While preserving the inherent strength of the original design, removing stains and dullness has revived vivid colors that beautifully reflect the silk's luster.

    Design Highlights

    • Drum Design (The main visual): A powerful soaring crane paired with a passionate red sun. The contrast is emphasized, creating a dynamic composition that immediately catches the eye.
    • Front Belly (Subtle Elegance): In contrast with the drum, this area features a calm pose without the sun. The pattern is intentionally toned down around the belly, presenting a neat and refined look, allowing accessories like obi clasps to stand out beautifully.
    • Calculated Texture: The background employs a plain texture with intentional unevenness rather than pure white, adding subtle nuance that gives depth and a sense of luxury to the overall coordination.

    Occasions to Wear

Perfect not only for celebratory occasions but also for thoughtful outings such as visiting art museums or attending theater performances when you want to dress with a bit of formality. This obi strikes a balance—neither too classic nor too modern—embodying a sophisticated adult playfulness.
