An immortal masterpiece by Hiroshige "Fifty-three Stations of the Tokaido" (Geisodo Edition)
There are 53 post towns along the Tokaido, stretching from present-day Tokyo to Kyoto,
which are known as the Fifty-three Stations of the Tokaido.
Among the works of world-renowned master Hiroshige, "Fifty-three Stations of the Tokaido," published by Hoeido, is considered his greatest masterpiece.
Hiroshige's "Fifty-three Stations of the Tokaido" series, which incorporates Western compositional techniques and adapts them to a Japanese style, influenced not only Japanese art, but also later Western art.
