This is a six-pass pattern silk obi (traditional Japanese sash) made of pure silk. It features a brown base with designs of pine trees and flowing water. It is primarily intended for formal wear such as tomesode (formal black kimono for married women) and houmongi (visiting kimono), but some may also pair it with casual wear like tsumugi (pongee silk kimono) or komon (patterned kimono).
It appears to have been used 1 to 2 times, with very slight folding marks on the end portions, but overall it is in clean condition with no particularly noticeable stains.
