In addition, by incorporating a wire frame into the nose area and temple arms, fine adjustments become possible,
so despite being a lightweight injection-molded frame, it is designed to fit each individual’s uniquely shaped head.

TYMER Photochromic Sunglasses
“ELIOT”

Featuring a refined, gentle impression created by the classic Boston shape that has become popular in recent years. With an exquisite sizing, this model suits any gender and style.

■ Photochromic Lenses
Photochromic lenses change brightness depending on the amount of UV light.
When exposed to strong UV outdoors, the lenses darken; indoors or in places with weak UV, they become lighter.
TYMER’s photochromic (photocromic) lenses use polycarbonate.

■ Lenses
TYMER sunglasses lenses use CR-39. CR-39 stands for “Columbia Resin #39,”
an optical plastic with extremely high optical performance developed in 1940 by the Columbia Resin Project.
Made from a material called allyl diglycol carbonate (ADC), it was originally created for aircraft fuel tanks.
It is very light and has properties that make it highly impact-resistant and difficult to crack. With high light transmittance, it also offers excellent optical performance.
Because it is thermosetting and has minimal molding distortion, it is used for eyeglass lenses, polarized lenses, camera lenses, and optical lenses.

■ Frame & Flexible Temple Arms
The frame material uses TR-90, developed by Switzerland’s EMS.
It is lightweight, highly elastic with excellent shape-memory characteristics, and offers superior heat and moisture resistance. It is also resistant to deterioration and has a long service life.
It is used in items such as medical catheters and baby bottles, and a highly safe material that meets Food Sanitation Act standards is adopted.
The ear-hook portion (temple tips/“modern”) of TYMER temple arms has an internal wire frame,
allowing the shape to be changed by warming it and gradually applying force.
Because the temple tips greatly affect comfort and fit, they are designed to be adjustable to the optimal shape for each individual.

■ Nose Pads & Temple Rubber
TPR is used for the nose pads and the inner side of the temple arms where they touch the skin.
Temple rubber colors vary by model.
With rubber-like material properties and excellent oil and weather resistance, TPR is gentle on the skin, providing a comfortable fit and
excellent grip suitable for active situations.
Also, like the temple arms, the nose pad arms are adjustable,
designed so they can be changed to the optimal shape for each individual.
