Reverend Guitar Man is proud to offer this 1956 Fender Tweed 5E8 Twin. Original Transformers and tweed. It has recently been serviced. We only change the power caps because they were leaking. Everything else was left original. There’s a three prong power cable. It has been re-tubed.
The Twin has a bit more headroom than the other fender amps but has a glorious break up when cranked. See the video demo with my 1964 ES-345.
The amp was shipped out in 1956. All the parts on the amp date to that general time period. The speakers are a hair earlier from 1954. They have been reconed. The cabinet is original, but some of the cabinet screws have been replaced. The original parts removed during the servicing and what not are included. I will upload pictures of the circuit and Transformers shortly.
Please see the photos for overall condition signs of wear and tear on this amp. Pictures are part of the description, which I hope goes without saying.
This is a heavy amp. I will pack it very carefully. I ship this style of tweed amp upside down so as to relieve pressure on the upper cabinet.
