Jno Kinsey (sometimes spelled John Kinsey) was a prominent figure associated with the issuance of banknotes in the Black Hole region of Pennsylvania during the 1830s.
Specifically, he played a role in the issuance of a set of banknotes denominated in 12 1/2 cents, 25 cents, 50 cents, $1, and $2. These notes are collectively known as the “Black Hole, PA” series.
