Vintage Natural Carnelian Prayer Beads – Handmade Prison Art Rosary, 33 Beads

Vintage from the 1980s

This striking rosary is a unique example of handmade prison folk art, crafted using natural stones including deep red carnelian and other semi-precious beads. The piece features a large round focal pendant measuring approximately 4.5 cm in diameter, adding visual weight and symbolism to the design.

Created by an inmate while serving time, the rosary reflects resourcefulness and creativity under challenging circumstances. Transparent accent beads made from plexiglass add contrast and texture, blending tradition with unconventional materials.

The rosary is composed of 33 beads, traditionally symbolizing devotion and reflection. It is in very good vintage condition, as shown in the photos, without visible damage.
