“The Kit” is a rare, truly portable, Professional Quality, Vintage analogue drum mini pad machine (also a Collector's Item). Despite its size the sounds are of unparalled quality, truly professional, likewise its features!

The offered unit is the last one available in this condition (NOS) worldwide, at any price.
It was designed and
manufactured
in early 1980’s, by MPC Electronics, in Cambridge England, for finger or pencil drumming,

It has small, touch sensitive pads, for Snare, Hi Tom, Low Tom, Bass, Cymbal, and Hi Hat sounds.
The sounds are triggered via the pads and they have corresponding volume knobs and separate outs for each drum sound (in addition to the Mix out). The sound is fully analogue!

It Features:

- 7 touch sensitive drum pads that allow you to play the kit.
- The Ride Cymbal can be tuned from a knob on the front panel.
- Each drum part has its own 1/4 inch mono output.
- There are 11 Trim pots on the back of the unit that allow the control of different aspects of the machine, such as: Cymbal Pitch / Decay, Snare Noise, Drum Decay and Pad Sensitivity.

- Hi Hat open and closed may either be played manually or, for easier operation of the unit, can be automatically generated with switched variations, giving 36 Hi-hat rhythm combinations that are fully variable in tempo (with the variable tempo knob). It must be noted that when using this auto facility it is still possible to use the manual controls for adding or modifying the automatically generated pattern, thus giving an infinite number of possible hi-hat variations.

- There are Individual volume controls for each drum part

- There is the possibility to add a Foot switch for Bass triggering by foot and setting on / off the automatic tempo.
- It operates perfectly on a 9 volt battery or a 9 volt DC adaptor (Positive Tip), via a 3.5mm jack input.

Outputs include, Mix out, individual outs for each sound*, and two trigger outs (derived from the High and Low Toms) to trigger other effect units like “the SYNKIT”, “The Clap” or other.
All sounds are triggered manually from the front pad panel.

When a jack plug is inserted on an individual sound, this sound is deleted from the Mix Out.

At the same time this makes possible to equalize or add effects to individual sounds or via an external mixer to pan the sounds across the stereo image giving a very real and powerful sound.
