This is a solid 14K gold Jaeger Le Coultre. As was done with many watches in the 1950s, the watch case was made in America and the watch was cased and assembled in the US. I believe this case was manufactured by Wadsworth Watch Case Co.
Model Background: The "LeCoultre" branding was used specifically for the U.S. market during this era due to tariff restrictions, while the rest of the world used the "Jaeger-LeCoultre" name.Features: It is characterized by its twin-crown system, where one crown winds the time and the other winds and sets the alarm function. It also features a signature rotating inner disc used to set the alarm time.Case & Movement: This vintage model features a 32mm case made of solid 14K yellow gold. I believe is the manual-wind Caliber 489/1 movement. This JLC actually runs fairly well. There are problems though. There is definitely one or more damaged wheels inside the watch. These slip and grind when trying to set the watch or alarm. I would not trust it to run consistently because of the internal issues. The alarm works. It is a fair starting price and there is no reserve. Will ship insured.
