This quilt was laundered here: it is clean and odorless, but there are still light brown faint stains here and there, which we know will go away with a second wash, but we decided to sell it as is, given those stains are subtle and difficult to notice, and the quilt has other, more serious flaws. The blue squares have most of those faint stains.

We found 3 holes: they are all seen in the pics, being the largest the one in pic # 8. That particular hole goes all the way to the backing.

These Sunbonnet sue have pairs of buttons in their shoes; we found 5 blocks where either just one, or both buttons, are missing. We posted some pics where the missing buttons are indicated by rulers. One of the present buttons is loose and needs re-stitching.

Some of the blue squares have busted quilting stitches: see example in pic # 20, which is probably the worst case of this particular damage.

The interesting ballet backing has the holes and some faint stains, but it is, generally speaking, still in decent condition.

The quilt measures 88" by 61" and weighs 4 1/2 lbs. unboxed. The bed is a queen, 80" by 60".

The appliques are adorned with either embroidery or lace in the hats; the hands are tiny and cute. The dresses are either feed sacks (just a handful) or some old cotton, we believe from the 60s or 70s.

The batting is cotton.

The backing is NOT feed sack: it seems to be a whole, single swatch of wide fabric (we found no seams). It depicts ballerinas doing their pirouettes and more.
