Broadway Limited's EMD F3 diesel locomotive captures one of the most important cab units in American railroading history. Built by General Motors' Electro-Motive Division between 1945 and 1949, the EMD F3 delivered 1,500 horsepower and served as the third model in EMD's legendary F-unit series. With over 1,100 A-units and nearly 700 B-units produced, the F3 saw widespread service in both freight and passenger operations across dozens of North American railroads. Broadway Limited's production features A and B-units from eight prototypical railroads with accurate road numbers, paint schemes, and road-specific detailing.
