Discover the EMD GP30, a landmark 4-axle diesel-electric locomotive built by General Motors' Electro-Motive Division between July 1961 and November 1963. Broadway Limited's second production run of HO scale GP30 models captures seven railroads across nine distinct paint schemes, including two fantasy paint schemes, all with prototypically accurate road numbers. Each model features the newest Paragon4 Sound/DC/DCC control system with Rolling Thunder technology and integral GoPack capacitor packs. Individually controllable lights include headlight, rear light, numberboard lights, front and rear classification lights, cab light, Mars light where appropriate, rotary beacon where appropriate, and ditch lights where appropriate. Road-specific detail options ensure prototypical accuracy for each railroad, including truck sideframes, dynamic brake hatches, roof fan arrangement and type, short and long hood detail arrangements, high short hood option where accurate, horn and bell placement, front and rear pilot details, cut lever details, MU receptacle arrangements, sunshade options, antenna placement, and wind deflector type.
